Gaze HD Fireplaces and More Lite App Reviews

This is one of my favorite new apps. I use it all the time instead of a screen saver. The movies are beautiful, and you can turn on ambient sounds which are very soothing. Highly recommended!

I like screensavers. I like fireplaces. Figured this would be a decent app to replace some of my less intising screensavers. I was pretty disapointed after installing. Animations are choppy, video quality is poor, and overall experience was bad. I removed after previewing the two fireplace videos. Also, managing how or when the videos play is unintuitive and bulky. Should work like a screen saver, not an app. Would not recommend. It is however free, thank god for that!

This is an app youll really enjoy. No ads, no pop-ups... Its just like looking into the fireplace at Mom and Dads: without the smoke rolling into the room and the smoke detectors going off because Dad forgot to open the flue or the birds flying in because he forgot to shut it… Yeah, if you watch really, really close, you can see the video loop on the fireplaces and the waterfall, but why nit pick? Very kewl app!

This is a really nice app. I wish it worked more like a screen saver than an app but whatever. Im taking away a star because the video isnt all that clear nor does it seem "HD" when viewed on my 27" cinema display. Also when ever I use this app the fan and hard drive start running like crazy on my Macbook Pro. Not really sure what that about?

i LOOVVVEEE this app! its great!! its like looking at a real fire place/ waterfall/ beach! :D the sound is also very realistic and very very calming! i have NO complain about this app what so ever.. for now :D but im sooo glad i got it!!! whats even MORE aesome is that its FREE!!! :D i would definitely recomend this one!

Greta idea… wanted something like this. Except this was running EXTREMELY slow, and never showed any video other than a black screen. Froze twice. Just saw a whole lot of spinning Mac wheel after that. MBP 2.53ghz, so it should be no problem whatsoever to run this app.

Great if you want to see a spinning mac wheel and black screen. Frustrating. Id rather pay for something that works as suggested.

This app worked well with Snow Leopard, but after I updgraded to Lion it doesnt work. All I get is a spinning wheel and a black background.

Graphics arent HD, but for a FREE app, works as advertised.

The video loops are a little short, and it would be better if they looped more smoothly. That being said, it is a free app, so its not bad. Sadly, my version worked for a few days and now it only brings up the spinning beach ball of doom. I tried removing and re-installing, but now it seems broken. That kind of stability issue makes me have concerns about the paid version.

I read the reviews and was a bit concerned. I’m running Mavericks and decided to try this application and find that it’s working great. I love the fact that you can select “STAY ON THIS SCREEN” IN THE SETTINGS/OPTIONS. Another app was constantly disappearing and I had to repeatedly hit my space bar to activate it again but not with this one.
